help me with my wireless please

i have an ibm r31 with a wireless card in it. i also have a netgear mr314 wireless router. it came with this crappy usb adapter that only works like 40 feet away. when i use the wireless card that came with my laptop (its internal- not removable), it connects to my wirelss thingy fine for a few minutes, then goes off and on, off and on. i cant play cs or anything with that happening and i need to know how to make it stay connected. oh yea, i use the wireless card at school to (we have wireless... yes) so i dunno if that would conflict with something at home.

i have winxp, 256 ram, celeron
Yummy yummy yummy, I've got fun in my tummy.

My friend at Algonquin had that problem, either your computer is trying to download faster than data can come in, forcing a "void" of files making your internet essentially "restart" to try and compromise to it's available net speed, or the internet at your computer may just be faulty lately. It happens. Don't quote me on this though.

One time this happened to me. I went into the windows networking program and also set the network up there (as well as useing the program that it came with). Mine works ok until I play really graphics intensive games. Mines external so I can unplug it and plug it back in and it reconnects fast enough to where I don't lose connect though.
