stencil graffiti and art

Does anyone know anything about stencil graffiti or any kind of stencil artwork? I tryed to cut a stencil out of cardboard but when i sprayed over it it ended up looking horrible. What kind of material works best when you are stenciling?

i made a stencil the other day, cardboard sux, use a manilla folder, or cardstock, just think paper, cardboard is too thick, o and use exactos

Np. you might also want to check out this guys site. some of the best stenciling i have ever seen. Some of his stuff is on the stencil rev also.

You make a stencil with some kind of paper. Then you cut text, designs, pictures, or whatever in it. After that you lay it on the ground and spray over it. Here of some examples of things you could do. (taken from steniclerevolution)

kai, That one for nobeak under 'Recent Deviations' is hella cool. Is that digitally produced, or is it written somwhere?
