well. me and roxy have been dating now for 8 months (8 this past 3rd) and it couldnt be better. i love her to death, and her me. recently, we've been joking with eachother about who loves who more. then, i finally put my foot down about who loved who more. i said, whoever of us loved the other more, could prove it to the other by asking them to marry them. we still joked about it. i tell her she doesnt love me more, i love her more, this and that.

well, tonight, i had to work till 11. so, im chatting with roxy for a bit, then she goes to get her nails done. she gets her nails done, and apparently stopped at my house to do this:



I get home and my roommate told me that she had stopped by. (which he wasnt supposed to) and she didnt say anything about it. so, thinking that she may have stopped by, i checked my room to see what she did.

she left what you saw in the picture above. dozens of hershey kisses, handful of andes mind candies in the heart in the picture, rose petals, and 3 roses. and she sprayed my room with my favorite body spray that she wears, strawberries and champagne. boy, do i love her so much. now, just to out do her. ive already got my ideas in mind

You don't have to do something 'amazing', just do the little things and do them in rediculous numbers. Like the little poems/sayings folded up in;purses, books, shoes, medicine cabinet, cereal box, jeans pockets, just everything. They just keep poping up over time, its great. Its not the $$$ spent its the time and thought you put into it that makes it 'amazing' to them. If you can pull it off a homemade dinner cooked by yourself can be impressive as well. Sometimes its just cooking together thats fun, my wife and myself love making a big pan of enchaladas together, one gets down and dirty with the mess and the other does the clean stuff.

Love huh? hmmmmm....well at the point you are at in your relationship with Roxy....candies and flowers could be considered gestures of love.

But once you get married? Whole new ballgame. This is where the rubber meets the road. Where the man is melted down and the sludge is dredged off.

Once you are married, candy is laughible at best as a gesture of love. No, real love is: Honey, I'll clean up the puke when the kids have the flu. Sweety, get out of the way and let me do that laundry. Diapers? Shmiapers! I'll change em. Honey, does your toilet need to be cleaned? I'll do it.

Now, don't get me wrong....there are still ways to romantically display affection when you are married, but you soon come to realize that love means soooo much more. Love is almost like out-serving your mate.

hehe I've had that same type of convo with my fiance way back when. Wait more then a year before you ask to marry. Make sure you really know the others habits and what not. I dated my fiance for 4 years before I got on one knee. Good luck to ya both.
