I just read this article and have to vent somewhere. Just so you understand where I'm coming, I too have a piercing or two outside of my ears, given they are subtle and discreet for the most part.

you have a point, but the writer of this article doesnt hate, and if she disagrees, she tolerates. what Simovic is doing is being a bigot and hating and discriminating against everything that is different from her. and that makes me sick (mind you i have no piercings or tatoos, or any colored hair.

I think she is just mad at the world because she doesnt look good with those things (piercings, spiked hair, etc). Diversity of looks and interests is what makes the world great, she's trying to censor the world to her own view. If we did go by this "view", we'd be bored out of our skulls.
Heh, she *HAS* to be hip if she reads the Sears catalogue, that part was hilarious.

i think the last part pretty much said it right off the bat she has major issues. she's so ignorant i'm surprised she even knows how to use a computer to write that trash she calls an article. unfortunately she does represent a population of america that thinks the way she does. kind of ironic though that what she thinks of herself as the "norm" is really now outdated. she obviously needs to get out of her box, because there are many pierced and tattooed people making large contributions to society.
kind of funny too since i am tattooed and mildly pierced i now fit into her "outcast of society" group.
btw- the pic thordic posted, the piercings don't bother me as much as the do the stretch marks on her hip.

I think everyone missed the point.. I don't mind "her" views so much. It's not much different then a Ford guy hating a chevy guy and vise versa. For the sake of clarity we'll call "her" types christians... altho that is NOT at all the case. Anyway, christians will never see piercings and tattoos are acceptable and vise versa. Pierced ppl will never consider christian values acceptable.
I don't mind the fact that she doesn't accept different ppl. What I'm upset about is the responce from shannon. It's just as hate filled as the article he's replying too. That doesn't make him ANY better. If he was really mature about it, or actually wanted to make a good impression he would have acknowlaged her article, maybe added something like "so she disagrees with us on a few points" or something... but the approach was compleatly backwards.
I think next guy hit it on the head... who cares. Dislike her and move on, don't make yourself a target.
I can't stand hypocrits.. and Shannon is being one of the finest right here.
btw Thordic, that's called a corset...it's VERY temporary. Looks cool, but why?
Also, I don't mind if ppl want to run around with 4 colored hair... a nose ring and army boots. But don't be surprised if the profesional world doesn't deem you worthy for the job especially if your job is customer service. How are you going to serve a customer if they won't come near you?Comment

Yeah, I know what it is, and that it's temporary. Still cool, and an example of extreme body piercing.
