Did the French give a rats anything about the American colonies after the colonies kicked them out of the US and into french-canada? No, they didn't. The french wanted the West Indies. The fench navy was crap. They couldn't fight the english in the west indies. So the french, seeing an oppourtunity in the uprising to secure territory, backed the US in the hope it would draw man and material from the west indies. And further is the fact that the colonies would have left the motherland even if not for the french, just by virtue of their location. The Colonies were far to big to occupy for any period of time. Whoops. Now who needs to go back to school? Please explain that to me. Perhaps you can grace us with more of your asinine statements? You make me look like the smartest man alive.

So you may continue to love the french for being the cowards they are, I will continue to hate them for the very same reason.

You sir(trust me that is a strech for me to say that) are obviously the one lacking intelligence here. I would NOT be surprised if you have even ever left your little state of Ohio let alone go to France and actually talk to the people that you are so quick to insult. Had you ever been to France you might have realized that they are very greatful toward us; that we, including the other allies, liberated their country. Had you ever even talked to one French person in your life you would quickly see one of the most patriotic and greatful people in the world.
Let's look at their situation in WW2 for a second ok. Germany had already captured almost all of Europe. Even if they chose to fight do you really think that the battle hardend German war machine could have been stopped by a ill prepared, un-experienced French army? No way. Even you should agree on that. So what were their options? Fight, probably loose, have half of the country burned to the ground and, have millions of your people dead OR surrender save your citizens lives, and wait for backup to arrive. While running an organized resistance.
So what you are saying to me is that you hate France because you percieve them as cowards, even though they helped to form our country. You hate a country that helped to form our own. Let me say that again. YOU HATE A COUNTRY THAT HELPED TO FORM OUR OWN. Do you even realize what you are saying? How can anyone be so blind? That is the same as hating any one of our founding fathers.
The English leaving the Colonies? LMAO lets not make speculations about what could have happened. Lets keep to facts please Mr. Homophobic Conservative Rebublican(Yes I do know that to be a fact). As far as England leaving colonies that they start? You should know that they almost never gave up on their colonies. Lets see India. Still has major influence there to this day. Oh and South Africa? Yep there too. What about Australia? Yep major influence there too. They may have "officialy" left the colonies that they started but their political influence and control has always remained to this day.
As far as the French being cowards? I guess you forgot about Napolean Bonaparte. Hmm you should have learned about him in grade school. Maybe that is where you belong.
I feel for your children. I really really do. I will pray for them. Pray that they don't turn out like their father. Pray to God that they will have enough intellegence to realize how uneducated their father is. Hopefully it's not too late. Son, I will now make you look like a fool. Napoleon was a Corsican. He was not considered French by the French, nor by anyone else at the time.

On world war two. You think the French had a strategy of giving up to save their people? You think that was their goal? What about the Magineau Line? What about the billions of dollars spent on its construction and operation? The so called impregnable defense, that the Germans just rolled around. That doesn't sound like someone whos strategy would be capitulation. And yet, they couldn't fight, in spite of themselves. Their strategy wasn't one of capitulation, it was one of cowardice. Only once thier technology was bested, did they run like dogs.

France did nothing to form our country, other than send a few wayward souls our way. Their help was incidental, and only happened because their goals happened to coincide with our own. It was no magnanamous gesture.

If our country is to be polluted with the likes of you, it is I who is afraid for the future, for we are growing a nation of spineless morons.

Sorry, but I thought the spelling was Maginot line, correct me if I am mistaken.

Also, to add what little information I have about this subject (history channel and random WW2 books).
The French did not consider many of the important technologies and strategies that were going to be used in the war that they were preparing for (WW2).

They created Fixed positions on only a fraction of their territory that could not attack aircraft and could not repel a large tank attack.

Their plan would have worked very well in earlier wars, but the Germans useddifferent tactics and bypassed the Maginot line, making it relativelly useless.

The French of 200 years ago and the French of today are not the same people. 200 years the French could fight a war and were a modern fearsome military power. Now 4 meter maids with pepper spray can take them. So to say that they are important now because they helped us 200 years ago is nonsense. Remember, it was only about 100 years ago that MEXICO was tough enough to cross our borders and fight us. You wanna see them try that today?
