It's gonna do a little bit more than take pictures.
There is a ton af scientific equipment on the thing, other than cameras, that it's primary function is to look for specific Iron oxides that are left behind after water has dissappeared from a lake, resivoir, etc.
The whole point of this mission is to see if there was water there and if there was, to look fror signs of life in the past under the surface... it has rock corers, an electron microscope etc. to do this.
MUCH more then a single shot camera!
