if i was sent a comp.. and ups check over how it was packed.. how would the insurance to worked out? would the seller or buyer get the cash? or a check? or would ups go out and buy it for you? and would they cover labor fees?

Standard UPS only covers 100 bucks of insurance. Unless the sender took out more insurance you are finished.

the person who PAYS the insurance fee gest the insurance. UPS will come out and inspect the box. They will make sure it is damaged as claimed. They will then ask you for retail prices of what it would take to get fixed. Send them the estimate. They will pay that amount, provided you orderd that much insurance. If that much insuance wasn't bought, then you get the full insurance bought.
