Krispy Kreme finally put a stand alone store in my area, and it opened today. Not as many people there as i thought there would be, so that was a good thing for me. best of all is i got my free donut! i'm so excited (maybe from the donuts) i thought i would share.

Meh, Shipley's is better...
Really, nothing beats a fresh KK donut. Problem is, around here, there are no stand alone kk factories. They just ship'em in from Houston...:o
I like watching them go through the icing on the conveyor belt... I've fantasised about lying on the conveyor belt with my mouth open while I go under the 'frosting falls'

Mmmmmm...Love Krispy Kreme!
Back in the day in Florida they used to stay open 24 hours and have a drive through window. This was at the places that made them right there. Thats all they used to have was on site sales. You could watch through the glass as they rotated around and dropped into the oil and then came out the other end and were dipped in Glaze. All on conveyor belts. And then they would be shuffled into boxes. You got a box of em still warm and fresh!Comment

Reminds me of the LA Open Donut Orgy with TK. Talk about lots of dounuts and I haven't had a donut since and that was in 2k2. Can't eat KK's anymore cause I had a box of them at that event by myself. Anyways. That belt idea sounds mighty tempting.Sorry, I'm oldComment

Dunkins = cake
KK = Light as air
Both pretty good though! But as noted KK's are best eaten fresh off the machine. They do not keep as well as Dunkin's do.Comment
