haha no school today!! wooohoooo!
we have 4 inches and more on the way, not packing snow though.

And it also sucks cuz we were suppose to have monday off but now we make it up for today.
oh well no schooool!

In all fairness, its like 25 below zero in addition to the snow and the roads were pretty bad this morning.

I think they just called off schools because the teachers didnt want to go out in the cold.

once students started talking about no school, teachers heard about it, and then once teachers didnt want to go, its cancelled, thats how my school works and i love it hah

we had our first snow day in 6 years a couple weeks ago. I drove to school(because the one day I dont watch the news) and the roads were just fine. I think the school boarded just wanted to stop hearing the students complain about it. But we dont close for anything.

That's nothing. Here in middle ga. we got a snow day because of the fact that it <i>might</i> snow.

They've closed our university like...twice in the 3 years I've been here. One was a snow day, the other was 9/11.

So I walk 1/2 mile each way to class a few times a day no matter what.

My college closed for the blizzard last year for the 1st time in years, but didn't close on 9/11, even though you can see NYC and where the WTC was from campus (it's right on the Hudson, but in NJ, so you could see everything) I don't think anyone went to class tho.

I was hoping for a snow day from work, or at least a delayed opening, but no luck, I had to come in anyway.

maybe you guys should come to kansas no where else does it get so cold in the winter and so hot in the summer.

but only 4 inches is nothing. zero degrees is not bad intill you get 40 to 50 mph wind then it is damn right sucks.

I wouldnt say it gets very hot here during the summer(couple days in the hundreds) but those arctic air masses love to move in and sit over MN.

it was -40 up here in new england the other day. walking from the train station to school, kids were pouring drinks out just to see it freeze in seconds... my face has never been quite so numb
