wednesday it was 18 below. We were the only school in the entire county to have school. No one else at all. Yesterday the windchill was uh damn cold. So we didnt have school, which was cool. And today we have a 2 hour delay, which makes each class 26 minutes long. Which is cool.

Yeah, we have midterms next week, and like half my teachers decided they wanted to give out the long arse study guides today... which we didn't have.

I have two days off (Monday and Tuesday), so I have a five day weekend too.

I'm going snowboarding for the first time today, any tips?

Make sure you punch some skiers. I walk 2 to 4 miles a day through this cold. It's startin to tick me off.

Your butt/legs are goingn to hurt alot tomorrow. It pays off after the first year of snowboarding though, cause the feeling you get from it... just amazing.

I mean advice, i.e. keep your board straight down the hill.

first and foremost, get psychologically prepared to fall. you WILL fall. you will probably fall a LOT. it's very normal, though. if you let it get to you, you won't wanna go again, that's why this is the most important thing. if you can, take a lesson, they help with simply knowing how to balance yourself. going straight down the hill will be easiest, and just fall when you want to stop. to lesson the pain when falling, gradually kneel down and THEN fall...it hurts a lot less. also, if you feel like trying to stop, try to learn that it's all in the hips and not the legs. otherwise, have a great time, and don't get frostbite. if you want more tips, i'll be here all day :P.

Yes. I reccomend skiing instead if you have never been boarding before. For me and most other people I talked to, it seemed to be a lot easier.
