Look into the Ruby Ridge Standoff as well. They are related in that (supposedly) the Waco debacle was a failed attempt by the feds to save face after fudging things at Ruby Ridge.(shooting a mother and 2 children are generally viewed pretty poorly by the general public.) All because the ATF decided a shotgun that Randy Weaver was selling had its barrel cut abit too short.

No what makes this inexcusable is that a few years before he was charged with attempted murder. The case was ultimatley dismissed, but do you know how the Sheriff arrested him? He called him and told him to surrender. Koresh promptly did so.

The ATF could have done the same, but no. They wanted their grand raid to justify their budget.

Koresh probably was as bad as the ATF said he was, however they should have arrested him the right way without the stage show. Had they done it that way, Koresh would probably be sitting in jail right now instead of a Martyr for Morons!

There is a very good documentory called "Waco - The Rules of Engagement". I suggest if you run across it, watching it.
