I've seen this thread before on pbnation and thought it would be a good idea for some people looking for small things for free. I can't really give away things for free but I know a lot of people that might can. I would, but shipping to yall isn't really that cheap ( Plus I'm a teenager that can't just give free stuff away).

* I see things being giving away like tanks, old mask, feednecks, scews etc.

* Just Post what you have to give away on a list. People then should PM you if they want it ( To not keep this to cluttered and confusing)

We have done these trade if forwards in Classifieds and we even tried them in Friendly corner before. But one thing I do know is they really do not belong here in Talk. I tell ya what. Lets try it in Friendly although its odd but lets see. How does that sound? I give you that and we see if it goes for a while? Deal?

Ok I found it....from the IOG, with revised rules.

OK, we have revised the rules to make everything more simple. NO asking for stuff or having wish lists from now on. I know I am not a moderator, but I'm gonna try to keep this thread from getting spamed and from people breaking the rules

You basically give stuff away as a kind gesture. Then, after receiving something, you give something away too. Hopefully we can get a lot of people involved.

The point of this thread is to help people by giving the stuff you don't need/want anymore away. This is why I got rid of the wish list. people were making their wish lists really long and becoming greedy. If you need something, buy it or try to get it some other way besides this thread.

In case you didn't know, the idea came from the movie called, yup, you guessed it, "Pay it Forward." Its a drama, but its actually a really good movie. I recomend everybody sees it.

READ THE RULES BEFORE POSTING IN THIS THREAD

HOW IT WORKS:
>Everybody lists items that they can Pay Forward (give away)
>Anybody can ask to have one of the items that a person lists
>When you receive something, you must post the items you have to give away (you can't just receive something, then not give)

RULES:
1. List the items that you will pay forward (give away).
2. Edit your lists to show that something is gone.
3. The first person to say that they would like to receive the item listed, has first dibs on it.
4. If somebody puts multiple things up to Pay Forward, only ask to have one item. Don't take everything that one person has to Pay Forward.
5. This is not a trading forum, don't make trades.
6. You must pay something forward when somebody gives you one of their items.
7. NO WISH LISTS.
8. Only ask for something when it has been listed to be Paid Forward. If it isn't listed, don't ask for it.
9. If you don't need something that is listed to be Paid Forward, don't ask to have it paid forward to you. Leave it for somebody who really needs it
10. This is based on the honor system, don't abuse it. please make a list of items you will pay forward once something is given to you. Do not say that you have paid something forward (when you havent) to make yourself look good.
11. Edit your posts. I don't want people being post whores. Do not make double posts (if you do by accident, delete your second one)
12. Use the format below to keep clutter down and keep it organized. I'll start things off....again

hey guys, not be controlling, but from what I saw of the other thread, most of the convo was kept to PMs while the only posts where the list of stuff to/that you have paid forward.

I'm kinda confused... What is the approximate value of what we list? I'm seeing barrles and bodies and stuff on here and some grips, etc. Do we pay foreward the value of whatever we get?

It has nothing to do with value, when you receive something all you have to do is post up stuff which you are willing to GIVE away, thats the whole point. I give something away without expecting something in return. Im GIVING it away. A gesture of good will in a way. In return I encourage other people to do the same, not because they expect something in return, but b/c it is a good thing to do.

This isnt supposed to be trading, its giving. In return, after you have received something, you have(edit* should b/c it is the right thing to do) to give something away. These things dont have to be of high value. These are just things I have lying around that Ive tried to get rid of for a while or dont have any use for. So I decided to give them away. You should do the same.

okay, so I just want to make sure me (a layman) understands this ..

First, I post what I have to "pay forward" (give away). If someone asks me for it, I send it to them, and then remove it from the "pay forward" list to the "Items I have pay'ed forward" list correct?

Then, if I see something I want from someone else, I PM them and ask for them to send it to me ... and does this item I get go on a list?

sorry for needing an "idiots guide to paying forward" ...

Well, I'm going home tonight to find what I can pull out of that paintball storage box eheh .. as well as I plan on putting up my item recieved list so everyone knows what I have recieved from ppl .. that way you know i don't keep asking and asking for stuff and not giving anything away So long as everyone is honest, i can't see this as a bad thing.
