AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.

The artists make the music for the label or company so therefore it's no longer the artists choice. I'm not for "stealing" from others. If you only like one song then pay the $1 to dload it. Not incredibly difficult.
FYI alot of bands escpecially from the indie scene are advocates of file sharing, because it gets the word out, and helps merch, and ticket sales, which is how bands really make money.

As a huge supporter of music, bands, and the industry in general, I think the RIAA is going about this the wrong way in hurting them selves more than they think. Back in the early 80's the movie industry was crying the same tune when VCR's came about. Did this kill the movie industry? The RIAA needs to figure out how to handle MP3's without running out and suing 16 year old kids. MP3's are here to stay, and they need to open their eyes and see this.
On that note. I will share MP3s with friends, but that is it. I spend enough money on music (between the 30 some concerts a year and over 1000 cds I own) that if I think a friend should hear a song, or someone does not have the money to fork out on a CD they may not like, I will give it to them. I am in the process of converting all my CDs to MP3 (this process has been on-going for the last year or so) so that I can play them through my Tivo. This is much better than having to change a CD every hour:)
