    The Butterfly Effect

Just got back from that one. It's very good... it's not what I expected.

It has some Memento (The movie, if you've seen it) type bits and atmosphere in it... although a very different premise.

It had me on edge for most of the film. It freaked me out a half-dozen times.

Basic plot w/o spoiler: Since the beginning, this guy has had strange psychological issues... black outs... he loses memory of what happened during those times. When he's older he has the ability to go back and forth to different parts of his life, and takes his memory with him. He tries to fix traumatic events and bad stuff, and something else goes wrong either in his life or in the lives of others. So his life story keeps changing. Every time he goes back, he learns more information and has different approaches... and he experiments. However, he never knows what the results of his changes will end up with when he returns to normal time.

It's way more complicated than that, but I don't want to go into it any further than movie previews... to not spoil it.

It keeps you on edge, it keeps you thinking... smart film. I love the ending... didn't see it coming. Most of the movie is hard to predict... and you go into "What the heck just happened? What's going on?" type deals.

Worth the movie ticket... good chance I'll pick it up on DVD.

    why?

Because it sounds like you see as many movies as he does only not every movie is poo poo'ed right away, thus the bizzaro world plot!

So you are telling me that ashton kutcher(sp) can actually act, and not just say"youve been punked".

Possibly the best movie I've seen in a while. But then of course this is my favorite genre. This goes right up there with the Ring or the 6th Sense.

And Ashton Kutcher acting serious is a shock...

I to saw that last night. Very good, well written, and pretty messed up...but then again thats what they were going for.

Ashten Kutcher (sp) is a good actor, but its still slightly hard for me to take him seriously.

If it's like Memento then it's gotta be good.

I was debating seeing it or not, now I'll go.
