Is it cost, shipping, availability or what? Please be specific. What is most important to you when ordering online? And remember please stay realistic.

Decent prices, but service is more important! Keep in contact with clients. Thank them for their business. Email them when there are delays. Don't sell something and promise fast delivery unless you HAVE IT IN STOCK!!!
Good luck! -
wide selection that is always in stock which means i can trust them, and descent prices.I knew not what I did but am now edumacatedComment

a well designed and professional looking site goes a long way toward lending a site legitimacy and making me trust someplace that i've never purchased from before. being able to check the status of my order online helps set my mind at ease while the order is being processed. as for repeat business in order of importance cost, letting me know when something is in stock before i make the purchase, and speed of shipping. if all goes well i should never have to deal with customer service. but if i do and it's a bad experience you can be sure i won't be shopping there again.

xactly. also, it's good to have customer feedback on the site, so people know they can trust the site (supply email addresses of the customers or something to show that you're not just making them up). also, keep in mind price. it is a far off second in terms of importance to reliability, though. if customers can't rely on a site that has dirt cheap prices, they'll go to a slightly-more-expensive site that has better reliability. makes sense, right? returnability/replacability of items in case of conflict is always a plus, too.Originally posted by gimp
I'd say reliability. You know they won't rip you off. If it says an item is in stock, it should be in stock. Good fast shipping is also nice. If you order something, it should go out that day.
is it me, or do all of these things describe newegg.com perfectly?Comment

I don't like customer feedback. How do you know who wrote that? Just turns me off from the site a bit. I base my decision to purchase from a site from what he wrote. A professional looking sight and recommondations comming from other purchasers but not posted on the site are the main factors I think about when ordering online. I'm willing to pay the extra few bucks if I know its a reputable sight and ill actually get the item.

In no particular order:
1. a well designed site
2. items in stock
3. prices (especially compared to local stores)
4. shipping prices
5. customer reviews
6. return policy
But I am not what would be considered a "loyal" customer of any store. I make decisions almost at random on whether customer service is worth more than price, depending on the item.Comment

only made one purchase from newegg so far but i was very happy with them. very nice site. lots of pictures and descriptions are very useful. stock is constantly updated. you can get email notifications if something is out of stock and you want to know when it's back in stock. shipping was very fast. and they have prices that are pretty close to the lowest prices you can get.Originally posted by impostal22
