Basically what it was:
Some people somewhere found a massive beached whale decomposing. It was too big to move, so they decided to esplode it. They used like half a ton of TNT, put it inside the whale, or something.
When It esploeded, it didn't go quite like they planned. Huge car-sized chunks of whale flesh and innards rained down from the sky.
And they got it all on tape

It prolly didn't sound too loud. It didn't explode like a grenade, Im sure. It probably just made a sound like some bad bud mud after a night of drinking.
