    Sound blaster card

I got a sound blaster PCI 128 card for my new PC I built and I am just now trying to use it. First off, it came with no wires or anything, just the CD and card. I installed the software, drivers and such but I cannot get audio to work. Only onboard audio works. Also I am trying to use TV tuner on my radeon 9800 but I cannot figure out how to connect the audio. Any help? I'm clueless...

To start with your on-board sound needs to be turned off in the bios, once you have done that unless you are using XP you have to use a cable from your primary cdrom to get a cd to play audio...your graphics card problem not entirely sure, I have a different graphics card and I have a tv-out for the picture (composite video and s-vhs, CV is bad so I use the s-vhs) I have a switch box that splits my audio out before it gets to my speakers and one feeds my pc speakers and one feeds my tv all from the audio out on my sound card. But no cables are going from my graphics card within the machine it is just installed in the AGP slot.

I have XP. SO basically I just need to disable onboard audio? Sounds easy enough. I think the graphics card relies on me gettin the audio card working.
