    Java Decompile Request

I am having a really hard time with a program. I was wondering if someone could decompile it for me. I tried looking up programs for it, but I can not understand them.

    Thanks,

    Hey

What do you need to decompile this for?! This program is WAY too easy dude, there's almost nothing to understand!

lol we're in the most very basic computer science class, with a terrible teacher... he's not helping us, and we can't figure out the math part. Please help??

        The math part?

It's a bowling score sheet. So, look at how bowling is scored. There are so many crappy CS teachers... I feel your pain.

Yeah we (miraculously) figured out how the scoring actually works, we've just been unsuccesful in translating that into the code... adding up the next two frames for a strike and all that jazz. *shrugs*

Well... there's a lot of ways you can do it. Here's an easy one:

You have all your shots in an array, linked list, or whatever. After you get all your stuff recorded, go through it again and add up the points.

            Start at frame 1
            Repeat loop:
--Add points in this frame to score.
--If strike and not 10th frame: Also add the next two shots in the array.
--If spare and not 10th frame: Also add the next shot in the array.
            --Increment current frame
--If current frame <= 10, repeat loop
            End repeat

You're cool! But how do you store and retrieve info from that array or string

Hmmm, that all makes sense... I guess seeing it written out helps, or something. haha now actually putting that into code should be interesting, oooh how I loathe my teacher...

What the hell has your instructor been teaching?

What sort of data structures do you know about?

lol.....i hate computer science instructors..they all seem to suck. yet somehow i managed to fall in love with programming...go figure. too bad computer science/programming is a horrible horrible path to go nowadays.

                    you should use c++...java suXX0rZ

Java is very good... I just don't think it's the best language to start someone off with.

This is the first year they've started people with Java... up until this year it had been C++.

And we basicall know how to initiate ints, Strings, etc... is that what you're asking?? We're just not sure in this scenario how we would go about changing all of it for each frame, but at the same time keeping parts of it for later. I think...

Ha, I'm on my 4th year of programming in my high school. True Basic, C++, C++ 2, and now Java, (3 Honors/AP courses) and my teacher doesnt teach us crap. The c++ books we used were so hard to understand too. Just keep workin at it and you will figure it out.
