since WWII japan has become very meek. their army isn't even really an army. it's more like the national guard. they're the real police. the actual police officers don't do much. they help drunks find their way home and things like that. i don't think they even carry firearms. there's a lot of pacifist sentiment in japan. i actually find it kinda sad in a way.

Back to the WWII thing. We did bomb them but we warned them and said that they had to surrended or we would unleash a weapon of mass destruction on them. We told them the target as well. They didn't listen so we bombed them. Then we told them to surrender again and they refused. We told them the target and did it again. This time they surrendered. They had forwarning. Also Japan doesn't really have a millitary because one of the terms of surrends was they couldn't. They could have a little one but in the event of a war we have to defend them. Also this helped thier economic growth because they no military= big bucks saved. Think how much we would save. Maybe for the next history leason I will tell you all about how we where 5 miles away from taking over Canada. lol. We have our own set of restrictions when we are in the middle east: No visible tattoos. If you have one (mine is on my leg) you have to cover it up while off base. No offensive or religous logos on clothing. You couldn't even wear a cross on a necklace outside of your clothing. Women have to dress conservatily.Giant flying dogs are gonna give you a flame-thrower enema!!!

How would you like it if a army that looks completely different from you and disrespected your religion? You wouldn't. I think its all good. They are just respecting their customs and culture. Go Japan, oh and keep making them fine automobiles, game systems, and those funky retro robots that we shoulda had 20 years ago to do our bidding
