    windows xp 64 is pretty damn cool

    well, my new laptop with the athlon 64 3200+ came, and i got the beta version of windows 64, and its pretty cool. still havent done much with it, but from what ive used, its pretty cool, anyone else got it?

      its build 1069, i know its been around for a while on the "download programs", but i never bothered picking up a copy. but now one of my friends sent me a copy, and so i got it. just checking it out

              Its a 64bit version of windows. You wouldn't notice any difference unless you had a 64bit proccesor.

                  hmmm longhorn... thats a horrible name... maybey thier in cahoots (sp?) with longhorn stake house...

                      This isn't a new version, just a 64bit version of XP.

                      And longhorn won't be the final name, its just the codename.

                          as stated, longhorn is the next version of windows coming out, its built as a 64 bit operating system, so you need one of the new 64 bit chips, with the clawhammer core
