    need help with XP

ok guys, somewhere I "fell" across a site that install some bs program on my computer. It has installed about 20 "hotfix" programs. When I delete one hotfix program the computer has to restart, is there any way to "MASS Delete program" in the Add/Remove programs?

or is there a better way...?

It is an option saying do you want to restart now? However it is better to do them one at a time...be very careful when you get the message popping up saying windows has found a file it says isn't being used...it (windows) often lies...to have a bunch of orphan files on your pc should hardly effect you at all...if you get the message saying it was unable to delete the following ... well these entrys tend to be within the program files tree so go through explorer and directly delete them but only after you have done the program delete through add/remove. You could of course do things the easy way and do a roll back to before you installed these "hot fixes" and then they will not be there anymore make a note of the dates as until you do a defrag a future rollback to say todays date will reinstall those hotfixes....so your best bet to avoid this is once you have done your rollback remember the next day set a rollback date for that date.

Oh boy I knew that was coming.

Right to begin with it will depend on your explorer view so lets start.

Start>control panel> change view to category view (left hand pane, if you need to that is) then click on >performance and maintenance (main window)> in the left hand pane you will now see system restore click on this and follow the prompts and about 5 mins later your hotfixes will be gone
