Okay, I've been selling skis since 5 years now, I also tried the next year model in Rossignol, K2, Elan, Atomic, Line and Salomon.
Atomic, they are great performing skis, mostly for carving but very unstable in straight line due to their sidecut. Really narrow on the waist size, would be around 64-65mm. They are pretty stiff on torsion which makes them cut throught ice like a hot knife into butter. Quality sucks, so does their binding. On the SX7, you don't have the choice of binding, it comes with it. Any Atomic skis that comes with a lifting plate will force you to install an Atomic binding, that's the way it is, there is no way to go around.
I personnaly don't like the company, but their products works quite good.
There is much better out there, depending what is your style. If you're looking more for a carver, the sx7 is a good choice. If you prefer freeriding, mogul runs, then forget about that ski.
If you are willing to wait for the next season, you should really consider K2 and Rossi. They both completly changed their line and they were my favorite by far.
