While this does seem theoretically plausible, there are a couple of criteria that quite frankly, I do not see being fulfilled anytime soon.

1. The universe in which said beings exist is just as real as Pamela Anderson's (former) breasts, so big problem there.

2. Your release from your local mental health institute is sure as hell not gonna happen now, thereby keeping you drugged for the rest of your natural life & preventing the creation of said universe.

In order for it to develop, it would have to be a mutation. Mutations happen all the time.
