lol, it was a pretty offensive episode... but this is the responce you could expect from any city whereas that type of show was filmed...

I think humor is a great thing. When we take EVERYTHING to seriously, life stinks. However, if anyone took Conan's show seriously, they need to wake up. It is a comedy show. He is not Oprah for crying out loud.
Do you really think he would have done anything different if the show had been in Chicago? Well maybe no French jokes.....

To evaluate if your joke/comment is racist or not try replacing the subject with black,jew or any other ethnic group.

No one realy cares about it up here(I live in toronto), Everyone makes french jokes, but you just have to realize that it was REALY racist.
If he had gone through south central hollywood and was yelling "your in noth america, get the right skin color" he'd be banned from the airways. This whole week has been him making lots of canadian jokes, and I found them all funny as hell.
I useualy don't like his show, but I loved it this week cuz he was making jokes about alot of things I know about. I mean realy, how many of you people from outside of canada got any of the jokes from his show on monday. If he's gonna be making canadian jokes, he's gonna make jokes about all of canada, and that includes the french people. I just think the politicians should lighten up.
The only thing I find wrong with this is that if we had a canadian late-night show host come down to the US and make fun of some of the lage minority groups in the US, say African americans, that would be totaly unaceptible, but it's still fine to make fun of people for being french.Comment

Look the reason we can't make fun of African Americans is because the NAACP(which is a joke) will be complaining and filling suits and bla bla bla because Conan is white. YET! The Chappel Show makes fun of all sorts of minorities and doesn't get any kinda heat. Welcome to the sick twisted world of America. I know this might sound racist but, I think America(all races) have payed the african americans their debt and they need to stop complaining about everything.

Ive met alot of canadians. they all make fun of Quebecers....why...they are french. Everyone makes fun of the french, it is as human as love and anger. It just is.
