Soriano is only 2 years younger that A-Rod. ARod is not in his prime either. Pretty much everyone agrees that A-Rod is the best player in the game. So I'm still not sure what you are complaining about. Soriano may have some good power numbers for a 2nd baseman but thats it. Hes not good defensively and he is awful at the plate. His strikeout to walk ratio is almost 5 to 1. Arod is not even 2 to 1. Soriano was almost unbearable to watch in the postseason. Sure I wish they didn't have a payroll of 190 million but they want to win. Not just win once a decade but every year. They have the money. Other owners just won't spend it.
