Your allowed to have beer in your car if your over 21 so long as the containor is sealed. Sealed means never opened, not you put the cap back on.

I'm not sure about this, but I think your allowed to have an open bottle in your trunk or bed of the truck so long as its not acessable from the passenger compartment, so if you had a van with a door going into the back you couldn't have on. And if the cop can see somthing in the bed of your truck without opening it, then its plain view and is reasonable cause for a search.

You can transport alcohol at eighteen, I believe. Not sure how it works though.

But in any case, I believe the bottle can be open as long as its not accessible. I've kept open bottles in my trunk before. I used to have a bungee cord strung across my trunk, with a bunch of jugs of bourbon, vodka, etc, strung on it. Portable bar for when a party pops up somewhere. They were all open and resealed, but I don't think its illegal since they were out of reach in the trunk.

Once I had bourbon spill in the trunk... stinks up the car like you wouldn't believe.

And the bed of a truck wouldn't be a search. If you leave something in clear view, thats your own dumb fault. If its in a bag, though, he can't open the bag. If there are some dime bags just sitting there, though, you are in trouble.

This is also true. However, most of the time it is not torn apart since that is not the ONLY reason listed for PC. Also, one officer MAY be able to use that as PC alone while another may NOT. How so? Officers can become certified, I for one WAS.

Even better now, I need to mail the ticket to them within 48 hours if I want the supporting deposition, but the adress the guy wrote on here is completley illegible. I went to the Campus police to get the number for the downsville police, called the downsville police someone picked up and said they were closed today (since when does the police department close? Crime spree time ). So she tells me that I need to talk to the post office to get the adress, I talked to the post office, cannot help, now i'm pissed about it.
