I don;t even know what song they are talking about, it's just another bunch of numbers to me. So I definatly would not pay 41,000 for the number. And the thing about this is, if the number is as famous as it seems, their are gonna be like half a million prank phone calls to it everyday. Why would you pay for that?

It's pretty much the same mentality that rich people buy what would seem like rather cheap, everyday items, that are marked up %1000. For example, a $16,000 Umbrella Stand. WTF! For $16,000 I can buy a car.

The problem with this auction though is that a vast majority of the bids aren't even going to be legit. At the time I'm writing this, that auction already has 100,000+ page views according to the Andale counter, against 150+ bids.

A shill could very well get stuck with a winning, invalid bid. With the number of crank bids this auction is going to get, I wouldn't be surprised if it reaches as high as 100G, with the seller never seeing a penny of the money.
