Redskins trying to trade for Brunnel...

    ...and other stuff.

Gibbs is trying to get Brunnel (last I heard was the The Skins were gonna trade a 3rd rounder for him). I kinda confused by this. I thought Ramsey was the guy. Its not like he played poorly. But I gotta have faith in Gibbs (right? )

Oh yea: Bailey got franchised today. So if anyone wants him, say goodbye to a 1st rounder. Last rumor I heard was Bailey to the Lions for Shaun Rogers and their 1st and 3rd. Personally, I hope the Lions are that dumb. The Skins get a good DT. They could take Kellen Winslow with the 5th, Sean Taylor with the 6th, sign a Free Agent CB and maybe another D-lineman (like Winstrom).

I so can't wait for football season to start

Franchiseing Champ Bailey was a smart move!

Now as for Brunell, why??? He is so broken down and beset by injuries that I don't understand that move. Unless the Skins get him real cheap to be a mento to Ramsey, like Gibbs did with Doug Williams and Mark Rypien.

I still have so much faith in Ramsey!!!! He's practically a rookie, and GOD what an arm... this is perfect timing for Gibbs to come in, I'm still saying Super Bowl within 3 years. We don't need to stinkin' Brunell!!

The got him. And it wasn't cheap. Brunnel expects to compete for the starting job. And he probably can, which is what worries me. Ramsey is the franchise QB and now he's could lose valueable learning experience. I don't expect them to win this year anyway (no running game).

But I still have faith in Gibbs. It really has become faith because I have no idea what he's seeing

          $43million?

          For a back-up?

This doesn't make sense unless they are going to cut him in a year or two. Also why trade for him if Jacksonville was getting set to cut him due to salary cap considerations?

There were a handful of other teams who would have snatched him up in a heartbeat if A. Snyder hadn't overspent & B. if he had gone into free agency.
I'm way too old for this ****.
