    Making my own Trance?

I wanna get into composing my own trance, dark house, and ambient drum n' Bass...and I'd prefer to stay away from software. I have been looking at Korgs Electribe series of groove boxes as well as the MicroKorg and MS1000B or whatever the name is. I haven't tried any of this stuff before, but I do have mixing experience(I have a pair of Numark TT100s and a cheap mixer too)and know this is something I'd enjoy. I'm open to lots of options and will hopefully have a nice lump sum of money sooner or later to spend on it because I'm gonna have to quit paintball for college Regardless, anyone with experience?

You need to get yourself a copy of Reason 2.5 by Propellerhead Software. Quality synths, drum kits, and not a large learning curve.

I'm trying to stay away from software. I prefer to have my hands on something so I can physically feel how I'm manipulating things.
