    Um.. Yea.. this sounds fun

    Maine has plans to make it self a savehaven for illegal immigrants.

    I know I'm voting AGAINST this, and I'm pretty sure ever other person will too...so this won't be much to worry about hopefully. My freind called me a rascist for saying how this would be a bad thing, but I don't think she's seeing the bigger picture. This would have (In my opinion at least) really really bad effects on not just Maine, but the nation as well.

    I don't really know much about it yet..but the gist of it is.. there would be alot (more) illegal immigrants in Maine.

    Thoughts/Opinions? (On having a state designated a safe haven for illegal imigrants) It's not like they need it.. they just get here and we treat that way to nice.

      I realize the skiing and all is great...but still...

      oh well.

      In all seriousness, I think this is definitely a bad idea. I really don't see any logical reasoning behind wanting to make a "safe-haven" other than a need for a cheap labour force. Meh, what do I know.

                                          I'm close to Maine, I dont want any dirty immigrants leaking over the border to NH. We have enough working at the big hotels. The Mount Washington hotel, and Mountain view grand hotel are full of immigrants. They just stay in the dorms there. It might just be some plan by the ski areas to get cheap labor.

                                              Yea.. Maine is like the most white state ever... I can see if they are trying to deversify the place.. but they would screw up everything!

                                              Yea. .. I have no problem with them being up north.. all those rednecks can get some new blood to mate lol. If they stay up north for cheap labor, I have no problem. But the thing is... they would freaking EAT up our already high tax money if they tried to live in society.
