my spyder has a sniper barrel. true story

So i was doing datacenter stuff a few weekends back and i mentioned going up to texball and one of the guys out there started talking about how he loves playing paintball and proceeded to tell me about is 16 inch spyder with a 20 oz remote tank and how his supression fire could keep down 10 people and i wanted to cry.. i shared with him my xmag / halo setup and he seemed disintrested and said if i was going to spend money like that id get an autococker..

i didnt know to laugh or cry ot kill him there.. but i did invite him to come play sometime

When you play him, just play him on his own terms. And, beat the tar out of him on the field. Challenge him at hopper empting, etc. Just prove to him through facts that...

Some of the people like that are hopeless. Just smile and nod and try not to make eye contact.

i mean dont get me wrong, spyders are neat and they are cool but people who try to compare there spyder to my mag or feel that its an insane bunkering machine make me kind of sad and mad at the same time.

if he had not acted like his gun was owned by jesus himself it be okie heh

Yeah, I've always been of the thought that every paintball gun is worth your time if you like it. But, you have to realize that some just aren't as good as others. It sounds like this guy is of the PBN mentality. The "Oh, I didn't see it in APG so it must not be any good mentality," or the "I am a sniper, and I can take on a whole team by myself" mentality.

I ran into a similar thing at a field once, but it involved the whole Closed vs. Open Bolt dead horse. Some people are just not geared for logical thought. Nothing gets me hotter than people who ignore facts. Spyders can be better for the person. I.E. They don't play often enough to justify a high end gun.

EDIT: don't kill him just beat him abd enough so he can still get his ignorant butt owned on the field.

i know what you are talkin about
this kid at my school is convinced he is so good he is like yeah if i had a gun i could beat u so bad cuz i hunt. then just today he is like i am gonna buy a paintball gun and then play you. i said ok in the summer we'll play for money. and he agreed. i think i'll choose the field though.
