    Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I'll be including the WRX, the RX8, and the STi in my choices and looking into what other people have done with these cars. Right now though, the Mini's most likely my first choice only in regards to fuel economy, but that may change.

    good man! the rx8 will not dissapoint you. Make sure to test drive one. The only downside to it, is about every 1000 miles, it will new another quart of oil, this is because to keep the rotors sealing well, it injects a small amount of oil straight into the engine every rotation.

    it also gets good fuel efficiency, 22 highway, 18 city.. not too bad!

            STI my friend has 1 when you get the car you sign a contract when you buy one you sign a contract that you will take a race course givin no charge by Subaru

            when he got car guy took him on the track and had him doing 140 and his pedal wasnt to the floor (scared)
            he barely drives it though drives his camery alot more instead (nuts)

                Ya... they did that after a few months after they started selling them...

                People kept driving them into telephone posts and ditches cause they think just cause they have a street legal rally car they are L33T Rally Drivers.

                You can get into some serious trouble with that much power and that much traction.

                300 horsepower pumped through all 4 wheels has some strange characteristics of inspiring over confidence.

                    Wolfen I am guessing since you live in MI that your winters are icy. I could not recomend a better car with snow tires than a wrx. It is an absolutely amazing car to drive on the ice or on snow. It just grips where most cars slide and slip. Make sure you get snow tires though, because my mom was *****ing, because the sport tires were squirly on the ice. Studs are not needed either, just good snow tires.

                            STI comes with summer radials great track tire in good conditions

                            terrible tire in cold, wet, ice, parked in bad neighborhood

                            dont think wheel locks will help you they are very easy to mussle off trust me i know

                            (did it to my car lost wheel lock)

                                    I would take that over the mini <b>ANY DAY</b>

                                    I mean, SERIOUSLY NOW!! 350hp V8 (<- V8 means more power as the speed increases! Flat torque curve!) 5.3 0-60, GREAT HANDLING (.85 LATERAL G'S!) racing technology invested in handling alone with all sorts of handling control. And that does NOT look bad! Man I want it right now...

                                                    go get a VW diesle engine, you can throw propain injection and nitrous injection on the car. diesle engines since they have no spark plugs can handle nitrous much safer with less wear on the engine. plus since its diesle you get 30 mpg
