Do they accept US currency, or am I going to have to get it exchanged?

I've been there a few times and I'm pretty sure they take USD. I think the only place I have been that doesnt is the camen islands, and even there I think they will take US money and they might give you change in funny money, I duno.
But I think because of the large amount of tourists, they pretty much have to take USD to do buisness.
When I went, I was younger but I dont recall seeing any bahaman money. If you want, I can ask my dad. He would know. -
Not sure on the Bahama's, but the Caymens I do know.. Most place in Georgetown will take USD, but when you get outside, its all CD..

I go to Nassau every summer,and yes they do accept the US dollar.Just watch out though they do try to give Bahamian money as change when 10 of there dollars is worth about a dollar of ours (if that).Also if you go to Nassau go by the harbor where all the cruise ships are they have a bar called Senor Frogs (you only have to be 18 to drink down there),check that place out at night (best place down there IMO).
