Heather, I was going through some of my photos...and noticed that this looked really fimiliar...so I looked up at my wall...was the photo below the one used for the "masked" drawing?

I think me and Heather should go into business, this is the 3rd photo that she has used of mine to make a drawing. The other two were of Curtis from TexBall

FryMarker... I'm a little noob artist. But ima try to draw a picture and just hope it turns out near as good as yours. Your are extremly talented... I have drawn many things in the past but im not that good =(

Thanks it is just something that with time you get better at training your eye to see and using that in conjunction with your hands.

Not all of my artwork is great, there are some pieces that didn't come out exactly as planned and you have to keep that in mind, there are also going to be some pieces that people like and some they don't.

So you have to keep that into perspective.

This sucks.... I'm going to draw that pic of Clare Shooting. But i dont have a decent printer to print it out, so looks like im drawingf off the comp screen

I'll give you a few tips on how I learned how to draw, this goes back to high school...wow a long time ago.

Art Lession 101.....


Sometimes I use what is called the graph method.


You take the original picture and put a graph over it.
Make the grid as big as you want it, 1x1 inch blocks 2x2 whatever you feel is easier.


Then on the blank paper you want to draw on make very light grid lines, light enough to erase easily.

Then train your eye to see what is exactly in the corresponding block.

And draw

Soon you will have trained you eyes well enough to see and you won't need to use the grid.


You could do it the easy way and get a computer drawing tablet and trace the photo, but then you are not drawing essentially you are tracing, you're not teaching your eyes and hands to see.

Clare Thats a really good idea.... But anyway im just drawing it by hand.... Rite now its so so. I really wish i had a scanner so i could scan in some of my drawings.... Oh well. My tablet comes in the mail on thursday
