Computer/Internet/website help needed

How or why would my computer suddenly not let me access a website?

I know this is AO, and that there might be some rivalry but for some reason I can't get on to pbreview.com

I could last week, but now I can't. I don't think I've upgraded anything that would be the problem. I'm getting e-mails about people responding to threads but the links come up with "cannot fine server." Other people that are here on AO can get on pbreview too.

Any suggestions/ideas? What's going on?

Are those 'cannot find server' problems consistent? Does a refresh usually solve it? If so, than the PBR servers either have a flaky connection to the net, or the clients do. It happens once in a while, especially with comcast users (like me). If not then its either some other part of the internet or something with the server.

Hmmmm... sounds like a route issue. Do this.. open up the command prompt and type "ping pbreview.com" (no quotes) and then hit enter.

What happens when you do that. Does it resolve a dns or does it throw an error about not being able to find that host yada yada?

If it resolves ok does the ping timeout or do you get numbers?

Lemme know and we can go from there.

Well I guess I fixed it myself.

I put IE back to the defaults and restarted my cable modem and wireless router.

This morning I'm back on.

I knew it was the ISP . You have comcast too?

Mediacom. Just it was wierd. I could go anywhere else on the web, just not pbreview.
