winning Ebay items on your first try?

I've been shoping ebay for years now. And I've NEVER placed a bid that was unreasonably low and won the item.

Before I went to work I placed a bid on a digital camera ( remember I had asked for opinons a few weeks ago? ) and went to work thinking I only out the the high bider by 5$ so I will most likly come home and find that I lost the auction. BUT to my surprise the price didn't move a bit.

I now have a brand new canon a80 with a second flash card and a card reader being shipped here for 340$ after shipping. That's not half bad?

My friend likes to bid .50 cents on really stupid stuff. He wins quite a bit. And then gets really stupid stuff in the mail.

I very often win on my first bid. Then again my first bid is usually several seconts before the end
I win lots of useless junk.

Sorry I didn't know that. It was pretty mean and lots of ****'s from cursing. But I would have looked entirely differently on it had I known that fact.

As a general rule, I almost always bid only once. (and im not a bid sniper like pyro)
I always just go in and bid the maximum amount Id be willing to pay for an item. If someone outbids me, then the price is too high, and it wouldnt be worth me outbidding them.

so even if I come in on an auction that has a current bid at 30 bucks, and its worth 300 to me, I'll bid 300 on it. If someone is willing to pay more, let'em have it... I'll get mine somewhere else...
