    To the best of my knowlege all cars/trucks have a neutral safety switch. This switch is connected to your transmission and should be set so that your car only starts in Park and in neutral. This selection can and must be adjusted.

    The reasoning for the starting in neutral is that if you stall while moving or at a light or something you can start it without having to stop.

      Thanks vf-xx, I didn't know that.

      Yeah pyro, the starter takes alot more juice due to the higher compression.
