All really depends on numbers ... one on one, give it to the Pred. But if the Aliens are many, they it could be tougher.
Aliens were always weak when only one, but stronger when they could attack in waves like a swarm should.

Predators can cloak, have a side mounted cannon, have some bad weapons, while the aliens have what? Teeth? Claws? Acid for blood?

But remember, if Arnold was in the film, he could own them all with his governer powers. Not to mention he has his own boney undead creature of death, Maria Schriver.

Yes but every advantage the Preds have is tech based, and that is something that is easy to get ride of. The aliens have natural instinct, and in-grown abilities that cannot be removed.
Again too many people want to think of the battle as being 1 on 1, it wont be ... and in enough of the books the preds got their butts handed to them by the aliens.
One book in particular describes how of the pred tribes had a right of passage that required them in groups to kill a single alien using only natural weapons and instinct. Many of the group would die before the Alien was finally beaten.

Also cloaking is useless vs aliens as they dont track by site via a visual light spectrum. And the Aliens also dont show on the infra-red spectrum of the light scale. Not sure how they respond to the other light bands that pred vision scanning can see into.
Pred weapons, aside from the net caster, were designed to be used on slowly moving, easy to track, or immobile targets. The shoulder cannon was only accurate when locked on and required time and an initial visual reference to do this. The disk, again required visual targeting and could be avoided. The spear, and clawed gloves are hand to hand weapons which the Aliens are better at. Granted according to one novel the Pred suit was resistant to Alien acid blood, they still dont want to get close as the Alien has its jaws, tail, and fore arms that are all designed to be used up close and at one time.
Like most tech heavy and reliant "troops" they have to rely on range and element of surprise to enage and destroy before the enemy sees them. Once the preds lose range its only a matter of time before they are beaten.

Man I have been waiting for this movie for longer then you can imagine.
I spent the weekend that the Alien Quadrilogy came out watching all the movies and as many of the extras as possible :)

Sigourney Weaver beat the ALiens 4 Times!!!!!
Arnold beat the Predator!
Arnold owns Sigourney, therefore the Predator owns the ALien!!
Remember in ALiens there were hundreds of alients and though the marines got their butts kicked at first, they killed tons of them! Between small arms fire, the autoguns, grenades, they killed lots!!!! THe predator took out an entire comando squad in both movies!Comment
