Al Qaeda may be behind Madrid Spain attacks

Well it looks like Al Qaeda may be behind the massive train bombings in Madrid Spain. Tapes reveal a possible link to Al Qaeda and not the Basque Separatists that the Spanish government originally attributed the attacks to.

The most pointed to Basque group in this whole mess is the ETA, and they don't make much sense as they are against random bombings that harm civilians. They mainly target "political" targets.

Al Qaeda makes more sense.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. The explosives were Spanish made. They are the same type the ETA uses. They have arrested a bunch of Morroccans.

Maybe ETA didn't plant them, but helped prepare them. However it is fishy that this doesn't bear the suicide aspect of most large Al Queda attacks. Embassy Bombings, 9/11, Truck Bombs in Iraq on UN compound, etc...

My uncle swears up and down that its al queda simply because the attacks happened 911 days after 9-11... While it is a strange coincidence, I told him I dont think that evidence would hold up in court

I saw a pic in the newspaper of the rallies the Spanish held afterward. There were like a couple million people with candles marching down this street in madrid

What pisses me off is that the Spanish protestors are protesting the US. And their government's backing of us in the war.
