No he did not. He is a mod and and admin. He played around with joining dates to see how far he could go back!

Yeah, but not funny Haha, just funny."What we have to accomplish at this time is all the more clear: relentless criticism of all existing conditions, relentless in the sense that the criticism is not afraid of its findings and just as little afraid of the conflict with the powers that be."

Yeah, he was feeding data tape into the huge vacuum tube computers at the Department of Defense (or where ever the first computer was at, Harvard maybe, dunno) and that's how he posted on AO all those years back! Would have been fairly lonely though, but who knows, maybe he likes arguing with himself.

Does anybody know why in some old threads, all of shartley's info is blank, other than saying he also joined in 1969? I'm sure this applies to other people too, but he's the only one I remember seeing. Seems kind of weird to me, any clue as to why it would happen?

That is correct. I set it to July 15 1956. My Birth date. But it still to this day will not display it! I have no idea why it displays the one it does. Its like random baby!Originally posted by toyotaboy12

Because his account got lost in one of the crashes. Several others did to. And we had to recreate them. And leaving them blank ALSO seem to make it display that date too. Seems like anything it cannot recognise the thing throws up 1969. Must be the oldest date it has in its database or something.Originally posted by BobTheCow63

60 years and look how far we have come. We put man on the moon with a computer less powerful than your average calculator. Can't wait to see what we can do in another 50 years. Hopefully artificial intelligence. SAY NO TO AI IN TERMINATOR STYLE ROBOTS. Or in Cylon type robots (wonder how many remember the original, not the mini series thing on Sci-Fi in Dec.)"I've always said that Pixar is the most technically advanced creative company; Apple is the most creatively advanced technical company"
