ive read every book by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, and every book by Clive Cussler, and almost every book by Robert Ludlum so they must be good :P

I second the Clive Cussler, Robert Ludlum books but have to add good ol' Tom Clancy.

I'll add another vote for the Clive Cussler books. Any of the Dirk Pitt novels as well as his nonfiction writings.

Just about any book by Dean Ing, Alan Dean Foster, or David Drake.

A Boy and His Tank by (I forget his firt name )Frankowski.

Just about any Harry Harrison book. You've got the stupid comedies with Bill, The Galatic Hero. Good entertaining stories with the Stainless Steel Rat series, and for those who want a flavor of history he's also come out with a series of new boks that look at critical points in history and try a diffrent vein. I for the life of me can't remember the one I just read, but it basically goes through and discusses what might have happend if England thought it would be a good idea to take the US back during our civil war.

Robert Heinlin books more particular Farnham's Freehold, and Starship Troopers(the book is alot better than the movie as is usual).

If you're into fanatasy and want a good read with some comic relief in it try Grunts by Mary Gentle. Quick synopsis is that Orcs steal from a dragon and get cursed. Thier curse is that in the time of swords and sorcery they become Marines.

Fierce Invalids Home from Hot Climates By Tom Robbins (no not the actor that's Tim Robbins). He has a style similar to Doug Adams. I wasn't able to put this book down once I got into (after 50 pages or so). I highly reccomend it

There is this book called "Eragon", I can't remember the author but it is a sort of LoTR book, it is really really good. And, if you haven't already read LoTR. Blood Work is a good book too.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six; definetly one of my favorites of his. You should also try Without Remorse, or, any of the Clancy books pre-Red Rabbit are incredibly good reads.
