    Once this starts getting widespread, broadband prices will drop and speeds will go up. Hooray

        I think they've been using that technology in Quebec for a little while now. I remember reading something on it a couple months ago.

          Yeah, theres another company doing testing in Canada as well.

          There are still some issues to work out, they need to make sure there isn't any interference with other signals. Putting signals through power lines can interfere with anything from FM radio to airplane communications to Ham radios. And vice versa.

          It'd suck if your internet died every time a plane passed overhead.

          It'd suck worse if planes crashed every time they flew over power lines
