I drove all over Little Rock looking for the game, and couldn't find a single copy. I didn't think it would sell this well, so I didn't reserve mine. Now I'm sad, being the diehard bf 1942 fan that I am. I'll play EOD untill I can get it.

I'm sorry, but DC is extremely over rated. First off, it takes no skill. Everything shoots in a straight line, so you're sure to hit something. Anti tank rapes air, and you just blow everything up. It's a noob mod. Second, the weapons and things aren't realistic at all. I know that you have to draw a line between games and reality, but DC is horrible reality wise. Go play forgotten hope to see reality. Third, because there are even more noobs playing DC, you have a massive ammount of plane campers. I WANT THE HELICOPTER!!! Jesus, it's worse than normal bf.
Helicopters are my main worry about vietnam. In EOD, they put enough copters so most everyone is happy, and they aren't super powerful. I also heard that everybody has a different radio station playing, so when you're around 5 vehicles, you hear all of this scrambled music. Eh, I bet that will be taken out quickly.Comment

i love EoD mod and i bought bf Vietnam and i have to say it is a great game. will it replace EoD... personally no.

also Desert Combat is a good mod also
no matter what mod you play its going to get old its nice to go play a different one and then when you get bored with that your ready to go back to the other, or theres another one out
bf1942 is just an awesome game in general

Is BF Vietnam an expansion, or a stand alone game? I'm considering picking it up soon, and was curious.

well i just got SWof ww2 off of renagadeoffunk for $10 shipped it should be here soon
also to my knowledge BFV started out as a expansion but early on they changed it to a full game.

Just got Battlefield Vietnam yesterday. Great game. The choppers are funny to fly though, they auto-hover
unlike in DC where you will crash if you don't stay on the throttle. The anti-air missles also track thier targets. Otherwise, the radio thing is neat and its a fun game. There is no such thing as a perfect game so you have to take it for what it is. There are lots of other neat aspects such as booby traps, airlifting vehicles into battle, etc.
