tech support is just a checklist theyrun you through. its not actually people who know stuff. the guy probably sold it because it was broken.

I doubt it. Why would you sell a new Dell because its broken, if you complain enough they will just send you a new computer and you send your back to them.
And ive had it over a year and never had a problem with it that I wouldn't expect from any computer. MsConfig worked fine up untill yesturday.
