It's time for a new drumset!

So.....My brother is taking our drumset to college in the fall, and I get to get a new one (Woohoo!!). Anyways, I'm going to have to pay about half of it and my parents will pay the other, seeing as they paid for my brothers set.

Any suggestions on a particular set?
I'm looking for a 5-piece either a Pearl or Pacific by DW brand (no yamaha or tama) that comes in natural wood finish shells. If you have any suggestions, let me know.

    Thanks!

Do a search for some other drums threads I've posted in. Export selects are wonderful sets, and I also like the pacific kits that are a tad higher up in quality. Check out mapex too. Here are some pictures of my export set if you want ideas....I love a 6 piece set up. 4 toms really gives you a wide range to play. But, I found out that the 5 piece export annaversery kits are going for 350 without hardware. 350! That's insane! No laquer finish, but you do get black hardware, which is awesome. The black on black and the black on red both look wonderful.

And here is my friend's export select. It's quite different now. Much better set up, tons more cymbals, pearl eliminators, and it is really an awesome kit.

I play a pearl export select. It's five years old, and has seen many a gig. I think the color is called "cobalt mist." Definately a good set. Can't go wrong with Pearl.

If you can get Evans drumheads. There the best ones ive EVER used. They hold up for a good 1/1/2 years of continual beatings.

Other than that id a say a tama or pearl set

Evans forever, they are definetly sweet. I still like remo ambasadors for my resonant snare, but evans "dry" heads work great for the batter.
