    Starting an Ebay Business

I was wondering if anyone has ever had or currently has any experience with an ebay store or business? Are these profitable? Is there very much starup involved? What items are good to sell? How much time is involved in this?

    Thanks in advance.

As for the best item to sell, you just need to find somthing there is a demand for and you can for a price that when sold again will yeild a profit. The fees depends mainly on what your selling, and how much your selling for. The more money you make the higher the fees.
Here is the page with there fees on it.
We charge two main types of selling fees: an insertion fee when you create a listing, and a final value fee when your item sells.

I actually have been known to pull stuff out of peoples garbage and sell it on ebay. Now while everyone sits here and makes fun of me for it, ive made over a grand off it doing very little work. My 2 very nice monitors, free curtisy of roadside-rescue

Depending on how much your selling you could look into starting an account with ups, and having stuff picked up rather than having to go to the post office, although I know USPS now has somthing similar, but i'm not sure if the post guy will pick up your packages.

My friend would make a couple hundred a month with just a few trips to the outlet store. Brand name jeans sell well for some reason.

As for time, as much as you want to put into it. Its only a couple minutes to list an item, then you have to go to the post office to mail it. So it depends on how much you want to list, how often you will go ship things, etc.

unless you are shipping something next day or second day air ups will charge you to pick it up. same for usps, but the usps wont pick it up until the day after you call in, ups is same day pick up. keep that in mind when figuring shipping fees.

              USPS has free pick up

I just found that, maybie ill start using it, no more post office trips. Pay for postage online, print the label, then they come pick it up for you. Good deal

I have an ebay store. But I would start slow until you have enough items to make it worth it to pay the 10 a month for the store.

I would do it but I cannot find anything that I can make a profit with.
                    Garage sale season soon though

I was wondering the same thing. Someone had a good idea with the clothes and the outlet store.

                        yeah

I was wondering the same thing.

Seems like the prices for stuff on ebay in the stores is about the same as retail price.
