weedwhacker are those wussy grass trimmers you get at any hardware store.

A weedEATER is what I use during the summer working for the water department on the mowing crew: stands taller than I do (and I'm 6'1") when being standing on end, has a 330 cc 2 stroke engine, and takes a guage of cutting wire so heavy that a weedWHACKER can't even turn with a spool of this stuff threaded on.

A weedEATER can cut down even small trees. A weedWHACKER whacks the weeds, but doesn't do jack and barely cuts grass.

And now i just need to know...What drives a person to make a post about Weed killing devices. i use turf for my lawns...if anything other than turf pops up, i get the neighborhood kid to kill it cause im playing paintball.i just know this. As i kid when i moved around (my dad was in the navy) everyone called it WEEDWACKER. its truly a just a piece of lawn care that trims the edges and tight spots a mower cant reach.

I really don't get the stereotypes. I know about 3 people that I would consider hicks here in Texas and I've lived here for going on 6 years.
