    Problem Formatting Hard Drive..Need your Help

    Well..I'm trying to Format my D: drive without going into the bios and there's a file that it wont' let me delete. I would just add all my stuff to it but the file takes up like 900 meg. I have a screen shot of the error message and would like some help :\

      it doesnt look like your actually formatting your HD, just deleting everything off of it.

      To format it right-click on my computer and go to manage. Now find disk management under Storage and click that. Thats gonna pop up a window on the right with all you drives listed. Find the D: drive, right-click on it, and say format. Make sure you do a quick format or you'll be there all day hehe.

        Even easier way: Go to My Computer, Right click on the drive you want reformatted and click on the word "format" It shouldn't be too hard from there.

          Or, if you have the dough, get Partition Magic. That program is a great thing to have, especially during those 3 o'clock crashes

          It also allows you to make bootable floppies so you can change partition sizes and everything without going to windows first.
