Word died...Paper lost...Frustrated.

Arg! I just lost my History paper I had been working on all day because my word proccessor died!

And heres the kicker: I hadn't saved once!

I always yell at people for not saving every 5 minutes, and yet somehow it completely slipped my mind all of today!

Wow...I can't say I'm especially happy.
I don't have the energy to start over right now, So I'll just turn it in late and spend all of tommorow night working on it.

This ever happen to other people?

Yes, that's why people tell others to save frequently.

You can try looking at your temp files.

Word also has the ability to auto-save. Might wanna check that out.

Same thing just happend to me, except I had saved 2 paragraphs earlier. But yeah, check the temp files, usually it will save it.

That has happened to me SOO many times.

Now, everytime I pause to think, I instinctivly save my stuff.

Well actually I wasn't using word, I was using Open Office, which doesnt seem to have a autosave function

Cant you do a rollback to retrieve stuff like that with windows XP?

That's why I always use Word. Gotta love the autosave.

Get Corel, it's a pretty good program.
