I, Thomas "NJPaint" Loh, have decided to run for the office of President of the United States in the year 2024. I will be running on the American Truth Party platform. I consider myself to be a social liberal, but an economic centralist (leaning right). I am of German/Peruvian and Chinese/Japanese decent, but at heart I am an American.
The American Truth Party is similar to an American Anarchist Party in that it despises the party system. However, it differs from the Anarchist Party in that it can still use the party system to achieve its goals. We stand for two things, Americans and Truth. To provide for these two tenants, we reject the calling for the President of the United States to play in politics. It is not the job of the President to be re-elected; it is the job of the president to look out for the welfare of the citizens of the United States and the nation as a whole. Thus, I will not run for a second term (though the party may).
As President of the United State, I plan to employ cabinet members from both the Democratic and Republican parties as well as several independent advisors. These members will be selected based solely on their performance records as well as their integrity. Neither personal history, nor personal flaws will be taken into consideration. The objective of this administration is to serve the people of the United States, nothing else.
It would take time to detail how our party falls on individual issues; however, this is a generic policy that we follow. When approaching conflicts, we are looking to solve problems and causes, not symptoms. Ask me for our positions on specific issues.
The American Truth Party hinges on its openness to the public. The only arena that is not always open to the public is issues of national security. Not being a man of military background, it will not be my secrets that are kept from the public, but rather the military's. Though I may be privy to information not available to the public, there are a limited spectrum of items that would jeopardize the security of the nation if they were available to the public. However, with the exception of National security, all aspects of the administration should be put under intense scrutiny.
Thank you, that is all. (For those of you that lasted this far into my speech
)
